Description

Here it is everyone, the official cover to the first part of my story, How Many Miles is Wonderland?: Through the Looking Glass. It's been roughly three years since I first started this story and I've finally gotten somewhere to show for it. The first half of Ecilla's travels, the introduction to the world of Consternate, has come to a close and the start of the second half is beginning.
For those of you who have never heard of this or visited my dA before, the story is this: Living in the land of Clockwise, Ecilla was a fairly average girl until one Halloween a boy with rabbit ears leads her through a mirror to another world with talking, transforming animals, shadow pirates, knights in armor and a great many other curious beings! Now, Ecilla must lead the revolt against the Queen of Hearts, Dildrem, with a smiling cat named Chess and the rabbit who brought her there, Andrew. It's a tale of adventure, fantasy, and utter confusion as she goes from territory to territory building her army and discovering why it had to be her.
Thank you all again for everything. I really do appreciate it.

Firstly, I commend you on your use and balance of colors. The brilliant blues contrast beautifully with the vibrant pink. In addition, your choices for skin tones fit perfectly, as they share the same, warm undertone, tying the colors all together. The use of light to focus the eye on Ecilla was a great decision, and the balance created by using the two clock faces on either corner helps to maintain a sense of unity in the piece. The way that the characters are facing each other (yet not making eye contact) helps to keep the viewers' eyes moving, while still creating a sense of distance or longing. I think this would make a wonderful book cover, and would catch reader interest from the get go.
